I got my new FIRM tapes on Monday. I did my first one that evening. I did "Low Impact Aerobics". Was it ever tough! 65 minutes, and you work out every part of your body. Mostly using weights. I can sure tell that if I can make myself keep doing these tapes they'll really shape up my problem PARTS!

I'm really busy at work this week, so not much time for posting, or exercising. I'm also sick with a horrible cough/throat thing, while working 12 hours days. UGGHHH. I am however staying OP with my diet so far.

Fitness Test. I'm a Lone Ranger!
WHOO HOOO! I've dropped another couple of pounds, so that my total weight loss is now 24.5 pounds! YAY me! My BMI is at 26.7 (=overweight). When I started it was 30.5 (obese). Once I get down to 25.0 (=NORMAL) Awesome!
BODY COMPOSITION

One of the components of health-related fitness is body composition. Body composition is the makeup of the body in terms of muscle, bone, fat, and other elements. The amount of lean body mass in proportion to the amount of fat tissue in the body helps determine fitness. The lower the ratio, the higher the body fat and the more unfit we are. People who possess a high level of physical fitness are seldom overweight.

Traditionally, people have compared their weight from data on some type of height-weight chart. In recent years, diagnosticians have revised the methods for calculating the correct body weight. Body composition is used as the method for determining correct body weight and obesity. Most sources agree that a man's body should contain between 11 and 15 percent body fat and a woman should be within the range of 18 to 22 percent body fat. A man is considered obese if his body fat is over 20 percent, and a woman is considered obese if her body fat is over 30 percent.

Studies have shown that weight loss is one of the results of vigorous exercise. For the average person, a combination of the reduction of calories and exercise will give the desired result of lowered body fat.
