Moving

A New York Moving Company isn't going to do Ben and Jess any good. They're moving to BC in May. They don't plan on taking much of their furniture with them at all, as it will just be too costly to move it all, and then store it until they find a place of their own. I'm not certain just what pieces they plan on taking. I think just what they can fit in Ben's truck.

Getting Older

Once you've had kids, something happens to ones' bladder. Now it seems that when one coughs too hard, or sneezes, you have have to cross your legs to prevent a slight oops! Hopefully it doesn't get worse as I get older, although I've heard that it does, and you sometimes need to have your bladder repaired. Either that, or there will be incontinence supplies in your future!

Get Organized

My hubby is great in most regards, but he is a garage SLOB! He will spend a whole day cleaning, and organizing it, and within a week, it's already starting to get messy. Every time he brings a tool into the house to fix something, it takes him a week to move it from the house back into the garage, and it just gets tossed on the workbench. Pretty soon, it's a whole pile of tools and junk laying there again! I seriously need to look into some tool storage for him that will actually work!

Conclusion

During my mass cleaning extravaganza in getting the house ready for the birthday party, and Christmas I finally reached the conclusion that we desperately need new Kohler sinks in the kitchen. Mine is so old and scratched up, and beat up and worn out, that I can't get it nice and clean and shiny no matter what I do to it. It's not a look I want in my kitchen! It just doesn't look as clean as it should (even if it is clean). I'll have to start working on hubby in the new year!

Furniture

When my brother moved into his brand new condo a couple of years ago, he had an island put in the kitchen, which also served as a breakfast bar. We looked high and low for just the right bar stools. We just could not find what we wanted. We knew exactly what we were looking for. We wanted the same ones as what they had in the show suite. I FINALLY found the exact ones we wanted, and he ordered them. They look great!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!!

My son Ben, called here the other day, as he and his fiance were out doing some last minute Christmas shopping. They wanted some ideas regarding what they should buy for hubby. I came up pretty much totally blank! Duh! Then, of course later it occurs to me that I could have told them to look at some gold cufflinks, as he's been wearing shirts that require cuff links lately. I also thought later that he would have been thrilled with some new pajama pants. He likes to wear them around the house in the evening, and his are getting rather fugly!

Hook Up

Jay and Sarah bought a big screen LCD TV a couple of months ago. They've slowly been buying all the bits and pieces and Cat6 cable in order to get their surround sound hooked up. Sarah also got Jay a XBox for his birthday, so they needed a wireless modem for that as well. I think they've got it all just about set up and operating properly. They're really enjoying it!

Roughing It

My girlfriend is going through withdrawal since she moved to their brand new gorgeous house they recently had built in the country. They are impatiently waiting for the fiber optic cables to be run in their area, so that the can finally have internet access! She's also less than impressed with "peasant vision", as opposed to digital cable that she was previously accustomed to. She previously ran a triathlon, and was in top physical shape. Since she got so involved in the building of their house, and overseeing all of that, she has really let her fitness slip. Don't get me wrong, she hasn't put on so much weight that's she's even chubby, she's just not as lean as she once was. She still finds to get on the treadmill, but that's been the extent of it!

IPod Goodness

I must have excellent ipod batteries! I don't have to charge that thing, nearly as often as I have to charge my cell phone! It lasts for a very long time! I'm really glad about that, as nothing is more annoying than weak batteries! My first laptop couldn't hold a charge for more than half an hour, and it drove me batty!

Info

Has anyone ever tried hoodia? I've heard a lot of good things about it. Apparently a lot of people in Hollywood are big users of the hoodia suckers that are available. They're supposed to drastically suppress your appetite. You'd think you'd still feel physically sick, if you weren't eating very often because you weren't ever hungry?! Have you read any negative things??
